My name is Misty Dawn Greene and I am the owner of Southern Striper Babes, LLC. I have a passion for fishing and my goal when creating this company was to inspire and welcome other women to the fishing world. What better way to do that than an all women's fishing tournament?! My husband, Brian Greene, actually came up with the idea, and within a few short months we were off! Our mission is to give women an outdoor event to participate in and make memories with friends and family while doing so.
I have been fishing on Lake Texoma since I was just a little girl and now my husband and I help some friends with guided fishing trips every so often. Although the guided trips are a blast, we really enjoy taking family and friends fishing, and making memories with others that will last forever!
The all lady fishing tournament takes place in June each summer at Cedar Mills Marina in Gordonville, TX.
A percentage of the proceeds from the tournament will go towards a scholarship for a high school senior angler.
There are 2 different divisions: Guided and Non-Guided.
Each team consist of 4 Lady Anglers with one being team captain. The driver/guide of boat does not have to be a lady on the team.
The entry fee is $50.00 per Lady Angler for a total of $200.00 per team.
